The founder of the Cheese Factory is Mr. Thomas Zarogiannis, who comes from a large family of Gardiki. From an early age he became acquainted with the art of cheese making, and since 1959 he has been professionally involved in cheese production. In the first 15 years of his career he set up small cheese dairies in various villages of Karditsa and Trikala and made traditional feta cheese and kasseri cheese which he sold to local traders.

In 1974 he rented the cheese dairy of the Agricultural Cooperative of Theopetra and started the systematic production of Zarogianni cheese. In 1993 the production of cheese was taken over by an old famous cheese maker, Mr. Dimitrios Nanakis, who to this day has an advisory role in the business. In 1994 the company changed the fibres, but not the philosophy. The son of Mr. Zarogiannis, Vassilis is now the owner, who faithfully follows the path that his father carved.

Maintaining the traditional way of production and adding his own little stone in terms of organization, computerization and costing. The production activity of the cheese dairy is exclusively specialized in cheese and the company has been growing continuously in recent years.

In 2007 the company relocated to Peristera Kalambaka. The company built its own modern facilities where all the requirements for the production of cheese are met.

The principle and goal of the company is to maintain the product traditional unchanged, handmade and the ingredients of success are experience, art, organization and ideological principle, elements that give finally the uniqueness of our case.
