The Folk Museum of Krania

The Folklore Museum of Krania, housed in the old primary school (1870), has a number of exhibits such as traditional textiles, a loom, a bridal bed, cooking utensils and a photographic archive. The museum is a creation of the Cultural Association of Krania. With donations from Krania residents and grants from the Ministry of Culture, both as a building that was saved from certain collapse, and for the objects it houses, it is a jewel for the village of Krania Aspropotamos, beyond its history. It is a museum built with respect, inspiration and love that brings to life the tradition, the way of life, the work and fun of the ancestors and the life of the Vlachs of Aspropotamos in general. The simple costumes of the 19th and the first decade of the 20th century, the variety of fabrics with rich patterns and colours, photographic material, household utensils and wool processing equipment cover the largest part of the space.
