It stands between two waterfalls, in the Paleokarya Gorge, bridging the banks of the Portaikos. It was built around 1550 and connected Pyli and the surrounding villages with the area of Aspropotamos. It is a single-arch stone bridge with a length of 26 metres, a height of 10 metres and an arch span of 19 metres. Its presence blends so harmoniously with the natural environment, giving the impression that it has been there forever. The tranquillity of the landscape is interrupted only by the perpetual roar of the waterfalls that seem to embrace the bridge. Together with the lush vegetation and the steep cliffs, they create a fairy-tale setting inhabited by fairies and elves.
