As part of the “Model of Spatial Development” promoted by the Region of Thessaly, the Integrated Spatial Investment (ISI) of the Meteora – Pyli Geopark is being designed and will be implemented. This initiative constitutes a strategic development tool aimed at the sustainable utilization of the area’s natural and cultural wealth, with the ultimate goal of its inclusion in the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
Through targeted interventions and projects, the ISI seeks to preserve the region’s geological heritage, promote geotourism, and enhance environmental awareness among both the local community and visitors.
