Folklore Museum of Pialeia

The museum of the school of Pialeia is an embossed historical map that awaits the pupil to teach it, the student to study and research, the Greek citizen to inform and educate him, the foreigner to present the beauty and aesthetics of modern folk art.

The school corner houses objects, photographs, and material from our school’s archives from 1946 onwards since the earlier ones were destroyed by fire.

Our museum is described as a nursery of culture because it enables our young students to learn and be active.

Objects from the daily life of the inhabitants and their occupations (agricultural, livestock, domestic, professional, etc.) enrich our collection and make it an object of study.

The contribution of the village church with ecclesiastical and other objects was also very important. If our museum manages to mobilize memories, to recall experiences, to offer deeper knowledge, if its images speak some of the thousand words they are said to hold, if it is a window into the past, then it has met our intentions.
